High Resolution
This feature takes on two meanings – one
relative and one absolute:
1.) In a relative sense, when identical
panels are offered with different
resolutions, the higher resolution one
will be designated to have this feature.
2.) In an absolute sense, resolutions
higher than XGA will be designated as
having this feature. |

Extended Temperature Range
Normal Operating Temperature range is
typically 0 to 55 deg C. Extended
Operating Temperature Range is typically
-20 to +70 deg C. Normal and Extended
Storage Temperature Range is -20 to +80
deg C. Other options are available. |

Wide Viewing Angle
This feature is implemented by addition
of an enhancement film. In some cases,
however, the viewing angle is maximized
by virtue of the LCD panel's base
design. |

Improved Readability
This feature reduces glare and
reflections of the display. Bonding is a
prerequisite. |
|
|

|
|
|
|
| |
|
Enhanced Brightness
This feature makes the display brighter
by application of enhancement films
and/or improved diffusers and/or the
addition of LED Backlighting. Varying
degrees of enhancement are optionally
available. |

Sunlight Readable
We are defining sunlight readable to
mean a bonded panel with sufficient
luminance to be readable in outdoor
conditions. LED backlighting may or may
not be added to increase luminance.
Varying levels of sunlight readability
are optionally available. |

Increased Contrast Ratio
This feature falls directly from bonding
glass onto a panel. Minimum contrast
ratios of bonded panels are 500:1. |

|
Ruggedized
This feature falls directly from bonding
glass to a panel. Additional ruggedness
may be achieved by employing LED
backlighting. |
|

|
|
|
|
| |
|
Vandal Shield
Vandal shielding is provided by either
bonding up to 6 mm thick glass to the
panel or, in the case of larger monitors
where bonding is not an option, adding a
tempered glass panel to the enclosure
bezel. |

| |
|
EMI Attenuated
EMI levels are reduced by two methods:
1.) Special glass is bonded to the panel
reducing radiated emissions and/or
2.) LED backlighting is used to
eliminate the EMI generated by
inverters. |

Touchscreen
Touchscreen integration is offered for
inputting of data choices via direct
selection from the display. Touch panels
are available in digital and analog
types. There are three types of analog
touch panels i. e. resistive, capacitive
and acoustic. |

Moisture Resistant (NEMA 4)
A moisture resistant enclosure is
utilized for applications in high
humidity or wetness environments. Our MR
enclosures meet or exceed the
requirements of the NEMA level 4
specification. |

LED Backlight
These are used to provide several
advantages to users.
1.) Increased ruggedness. LEDs are solid
state devices and are more resistant to
shock and vibration than CCFL
backlights;
2.) Increased reliability. LEDs have
longer lifetimes than CCFL backlights
3.) Lower EMI levels. LED backlights
require no inverters, which are major
generators of EMI.
4.) Increased brightness/Lower power.
LEDs can be driven to higher luminance
levels than CCFL backlights. Conversely,
lower power is required to achieve
normal brightness levels than CCFL
backlights.
5.) NVIS enabling. Displays may be
enabled for use with night vision
goggles if using LED backlighting.
6.) Instant on – no time delay upon
startup
7.) Cold Temperature operation – Since
the limiting factor for cold temperature
operating is the CCFL, the use of LED
backlighting extends the lower limit to
-20 deg C for all panels so equipped. |

Improved Reliability
Falls directly out of use of LED
backlighting, which results in longer
backlight lifetimes. |

Night Vision (NVIS) Enabled
Additional backlight elements, which are
compatible with night vision goggles,
may be added to panels fitted with LED
backlighting. Dual mode operation is
provided for viewing without goggles. |
